Every year we hear about the millions of dollars set aside for college funding from numerous sources that goes unused. If you dig into the statistics the amount can be a bit deceiving but if any money is being left on the table, it’s a shame because thousands of students are racking up debt that will change the course of their lives.
I caution my clients about spending an inordinate amount of time applying of scholarship and grant money but the right scholarship or grant opportunities are well worth the time. Once the work has been done to select the major and the colleges that will provide the education, a little more homework on funding sources can pay a tidy dividend.
